Windsor: Ground Zero for Paczki Day
Three local bakeries will make a combined 75,000 paczki, the luscious, jelly roll-like doughnuts, just in time for Paczki Day today.
Tuesday is ‘Fat’ Tuesday. Lent begins Wednesday.
By noon Monday, Ali Bazzi who owns Sunrise Bakery and Pastry on Tecumseh Road East already reported orders for almost 700 dozen. Anticipating long lineups, they’ve hired more staff and plan to open early Tuesday morning.
